Ayesha Al Shabelli of Saudi Arabia
who received an award from the
United Nations for her efforts to
end unemployment, but her efforts
are based on a difficult struggle, on
which the United Nations itself had
to say, "Illiterates who made the
world cry." gave'
While giving an interview
to the Saudi TV channel, the brave
woman Ayesha Al-Shabili said that
she belongs to the Jazan region and
she could not study for some
reason.
During the campaign
to end unemployment, they spread
their skills through handicraft
industry and gave hope to others.
Ayesha said that
I was completely illiterate, it was
not possible for me to write, let
alone read. Submitted a video of my
work to the global competition on
home industry on behalf of the
United Nations.
The most important
of the terms of the competition was
titled 'I should not be illiterate'.
The organizers liked
the video I submitted for the
competition, which showed me
working.
They liked the video
but to be eligible to participate in
the contest I had to be literate and I
only had 3 months to do it.
Brave women said
that those three months proved to
be the turning point of my life
because I achieved something
during that time which I could not
achieve in my entire life till now.
I have become a grandmother
and grandmother, but I did not let
age hinder my determination and
within three months I learned to
read and write and proved my
worth for the competition.
Ayesha said
that when I went to the UN session
to receive the award, that moment
is unforgettable for me. At that
time, when I took out the pre-
written paper to express my
thoughts, I could not control my
emotions and cried on the stage.
When I returned after receiving
the award, my thinking and view
had changed. After that I decided to
create a charity for education and
established it.
Ayesha also told that
knowing the reason for her crying,
these words were written about me
in the UN session, "The illiterate
who made the world cry".
After receiving the award, the
woman continued her studies. After
matriculation and admission, she is
now a student of Arab University.
